The second video is more typical of my attempts to do "canned PK". I'll get the wheel spinning and hope it continues when I take my hand away. Usually it just waffles back and forth a bit.
I do understand that what works is playing and just letting things happen. But sometimes I wish things would happen on schedule instead.

Sandy,
Thanks for (re?)posting these videos. It looks like the first video demonstrates the "release-of-effort effect", about which Pam Heath wrote in her book, "Mind-Matter Interaction",
"The release-of-effort effect refers to a phenomenon long noted by experimenters, which is where MMI is produced as soon as the performer stops trying to make it happen. This often occurs in conjunction with a sudden shift of attention away from the target. It is possible that the release of effort effect may also be a factor in creativity and general psi. Joseph Rush pointed out that 'creative ideas or insights often emerge in consciousness during relaxation or distraction after intense concentration on a problem.'"
Dean Radin also wrote about the release-of-effort effect, saying:
"The 'release of effort' effect has often been noted in PK. This deflection of awareness may be important because when you are consciously trying to do something that your mind believes to be impossible, then you can't do it. But the unconscious is not as threatened by supposedly impossible things, and apparently if the intention is strong enough, it goes ahead and does it." (Entangled Minds blog, 06/05/2006)
Hi Doug, these two videos are new. The start time and date is written underneath each one. I wanted to show where I was at right now. I'm trying to get used to being at least a tiny bit visible in preparation for an upcoming trip to the Rhine Research Center. I'm also hoping to get a few researchers to watch me move the wheel over skype as a way to practise as well.
Good idea. Becoming more visible and performing over Skype might help minimize inhibition effects when you're at the Rhine. Hope all goes well there.
Thanks, Doug.
Interesting stuff Sandy, so you're doing PK tests at the Rhine centre then?
Randomly enough I accidently came across the 'personal experiences' forum and read about some of yours back in 08 or 09 I think it was?
Just wondering, are you still having these type of anonalous experiences? I.e seeing ghosts or things moving in your presence?
Hi Robbie,
I don't know what all I'll be doing at the RRC yet. I will get to meet some people I've been corresponding with for a while, so that will be cool. And, yes, I still see ghosts.
Sandy, thanks for answering my question :). I hope your Rhine centre experience goes well and that the people are cool!
